Career
Jordan’s journey in the world of storytelling began on the stage, where he spent a decade immersed in live theatre. Starting as an actor, his curiosity soon led him to explore every corner of production. From designing costumes and building props to writing scripts and directing shows, Jordan became a true jack-of-all-trades, mastering the art of bringing stories to life.
In 2012, his knack for creative problem-solving caught the attention of an independent film crew. After stepping in to handcraft a crucial prop overnight, Jordan was invited to join the team as the Production Designer—and later, as a Producer. And just like that, his film career was born!
Jordan’s big break came in 2014 when he served as the Production Designer for Tapped Out, a feature film starring Hollywood legend Michael Biehn, shot right in his hometown. From there, he dove into the world of documentaries and docu-series, eventually taking on the role of Lead Development Executive at Creative Dynamic in Chicago. There, he crafted short, unscripted series for a major streaming platform, honing his skills in storytelling and production.
Most recently, Jordan co-wrote and produced Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe, a heartfelt feature-length documentary celebrating the legacy of Canada’s most beloved children’s show. Not only did Jordan help bring this nostalgic story to life, but he also appeared on-screen as an interview subject, sharing his insights on the cultural impact of Mr. Dressup.
This passion project, a collaboration with CBC Canada, Marble Media, and Amazon Studios, earned the full support of Judith Lawrence (creator of the iconic puppets Casey & Finnegan) and the estate of Ernie Coombs (the legendary Mr. Dressup himself). The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival to a standing ovation, won the TIFF People’s Choice Documentary Award, and took home the Best Documentary Award at Sudbury’s Cinefest Festival. Upon its global release on Amazon Prime Video, it soared to #2 worldwide in its first week—a testament to its universal appeal.
Jordan’s career is a testament to his versatility, creativity, and dedication to storytelling. Whether on stage, behind the camera, or on the screen, he continues to captivate audiences with his unique vision and passion.
